How our parking solutions helped Charlemont Social Club improve their busy West Bromwich car parking area for its members.

Background

This popular social club, consisting of about 400 members, is located just off a very busy high street in West Bromwich. This bustling locale, lacking parking for local shops, meant that there was a high number of people misusing the site.

Challenges

The main issue faced by the client was the high number of rogue parking taking place, leading to there being no spaces for their members to park.

Due to the site’s location by the high street, as well as the nearby day care centre, there were frequent problems with people parking not only on site, but around the entrance and exit ways, blocking access for genuine users. This issue was especially prevalent in the morning and early evenings as a result of pick-up and drop-off times for the day care centre.

Parking Solution

Through working closely with the client to understand the challenges they were facing, Minster Baywatch were able to provide suitable solutions to meet their needs. With the implementation of ANPR technology, we supplied a highly effective enforcement system to dissuade rogue and unauthorised parking.

As well as setting up an enforcement system, we worked in partnership with the car park management company Bransby Wilson Parking Solutions, who were able to put in place a Pay and Stay system operated by RingGo in order to bring in revenue for the client from those using the site.

New signage was added to the site, enabling users to understand how the new enforcement and payment systems worked and what was required of them for their stay.

Outcome

After the implementation of the ANPR system by Minster Baywatch, the rogue parking was cleared up instantly, meaning that members were now able to use the car park as intended, which was highly beneficial to the client and what they’d aimed to achieve through working with us.
